overview
MCF’s Scudder Preserve offers 90 acres of natural beauty in the Navesink section of Middletown Township as a local oasis and nature sanctuary for all to enjoy. The site is free and open to the public to enjoy our nature trails, abundant wildlife, and lush scenery through passive recreation activities such as hiking, bird watching, nature study, horseback riding, and wildlife photography.
Acquired by MCF in April 2024 as its first preserve, the site is a work in progress toward becoming more accessible and better equipped with amenities, all while we work to restore aspects of its natural ecology and build educational programming. Learn more about our stewardship of Scudder Preserve and follow along on our progress.
